Job Description:
Should possess expertise in upgrade from WAS 6.0, 7.0 to WAS 8.0Product Installation(WAS and WEB servers) and Configuration in UNIX platforms, Installation and deployment of applications(.ear/.war files), Monitoring JVM performance by heap size, garbage collection, JDBC Pool responsible for Architectural design, Implementation and periodic testing support, Experience on Administering and Tuning WebSphere application server and its objects, web server and its instances, Experience on Connection factories, Adapter settings, Provider settings, connection pool settings, SI Bus configuration and settings, Plugins configuration and settings, etc., Experience on various tracing level techniques, Experience on Various logging types, Creating dumps, Experience on collecting various data for PMR as requested by IBM, Experience on supporting maintenance related activities on servers, Experience on support for Web Environments w.r.t High availability, Experience on performing Disaster Recovery activities, Experience on SSL certificate Maintenance and LDAP settings, Experience on cron jobs or other task scheduling mechanisms, Experience on shell scripting, Experience on was admin scripts using python/jython/jacl, Experience on Solaris/UNIX server commands, Experience on MQ. Ability to coordinate and aggressively follow up on incidents and problems, perform diagnosis, and provide resolution to minimize service interruption Ability to work both independently and participate as a member of a cross-functional team Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously Strong interpersonal, organizational and self-sufficiency skills Strong analytic skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to manage virtual teams Be a role model and mentor team members
