Advanced VOIP Engineer

3+ month contract

Location: Downers Grove, IL

This individual will be working within a implementing/deployment team, installing, configuring, troubleshooting and support and repair of VOIP infrastructure (Server WAN Integration), telecommunication infrastructure, specifically Cisco UC, Call Manager, Presence Server, and UCCX.

•       Responsible for Cisco Voice roll outs

•       Installing Communications Manager,  Unity Connection and UC applications

•       Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and requests with business applications

•       Prioritize incidents and change requests based on defined criteria and service level agreements and effectively communicate with the customer on incident status

•       Participate in technology projects, quality assurance testing and other activities as assigned.

•       Maintenance in Call Manager and Unity connections and UC applications.

•       Troubleshooting of network problems as they occur as well as implementing corrective action to resolve problems.

•       Support multiple customers VoIP installations.

•       Occasional travel to clients sites in the Chicagoland area

•       Upgrade existing installations of Communication Manager and UC applications

•       Performed VoIP assessments following Cisco best practices

•       CCVP certification

Required:

·         Engineer must specialize in Voice

·         3-5 years experience in configurations and support of Cisco products including but not limited to:

·         Cisco gateway installation and configuration would be a requirement

·         Cisco Unified Border element (CUBE), MGCP and H.323 would be a requirement

·          Cisco Communications Manager

·         Have the ability to demonstrate Life- Cycle- Development strengths as well as in depth IP telecommunications skills set supported by industry certifications or equivalent

Preferred:

·         Cisco UCC Express would be preferred

·         Cisco UCC Enterprise would be preferred

·         Cisco IP-IVR configuration/scripting would be preferred     

·         SIP would be a preferred skill set

·         CCNP Voice, CCIE voice would be the preferred certifications
