I can only second that. Well done, Deborah!
As I wrote in the comments, this is exactly the kind of piece that is so sorely missing in the climate debate and that I was hoping we could organize around on DK: great storytelling and personal observations tying into the deeper issues beyond just the incessant carbon counting. But the fact that such a superbly written essay — reporting live from the ground during what's arguably the most important gathering on climate change and the future of humanity — can't even scratch the rec list on Daily Kos (nor get promoted to Community Spotlight) is just frankly pretty sad. Not that this is new, but it kind of confirms Deborah's larger point in the diary — that other than some occasional bitching and complaining we're leaving the responsibility for dealing with this problem that affects all of us to the same elites we profess to despise at every opportunity.
