Network Infrastructure with CISCO
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 12mth contract
$40-50/hr. phr {DOE}
The Network Infrastructure US opps team (they cover US, South America and Canada) Is in need of a consultant.This is because one of the other Sr. consultants in the group got moved to another project. This means that this individual will have to hit the ground running.
The group primarily deals with LAN and VOICE OVER IP, NOT WAN. This team handles all of the LAN VOICE OVER IP support In addition to; this person as part of the group will have to maintain operational health of the network. The manager referred to it as "polishing the fire trucks" an example of this activity is: Site diagrams up to date, taking back-up, resolving any trouble shooting.They also handle small devices to core. 1900, 6500, CISCO, monitoring QLS (quality of Service) Just so you know there is NO designing on this team just basic LAN and voice over IP.
There are 8 Voice over IP sites in the US with more being added. There is currently a team of 14 people.
This position is at Greenwayplaza 3.
