Position: Systems Engineer

Location: Miamisburg, Ohio

Duration: 9+Months

Rate: $45-$48/hr

 

This Engineer will be responsible for performing application software support and minor development for system enhancements across a variety of technology platforms.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Provides operational and technical support for complex system operational functions for the application systems supported.

Support, development of minor application enhancements and performance improvement activates.

Formulates system design considerations which includes the application programs that contain the business logic along with possible modification to underlying database(s), client report(s), internal report(s) and on-line presentation

Actively participates in system testing and user acceptance testing of complex system support enhancements. Develops plans to perform system testing to ensure a quality product is delivered to the LOB for user acceptance testing.

Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity activities.

Consultant will be required to carry a pager for off hours support.

Required Skills:

5+ years related experience.
Possess an advanced and thorough understanding of IT concepts including database concepts structures, software/application development techniques and testing techniques.


1) Windows Server 2003
IIS6 (and IIS hosted applications)
Oracle 10G (basic familiarity with DB querying)
IBM MQ v6
Deploying and troubleshooting distributed (multi-tier) applications on the Windows/.NET platform (Web Services)

2) Silverlight 4
.NET Framework 4
