Position: QA Test Lead
Location:Groton, CT
Duration:10+ month
Description:
This role will be mostly technical in nature but will require a solid understanding of the business process and an awareness of the integration activities of dependant systems. Ability to work with offshore resources a must.
"* Plan and manage test team resources, time (hrs) timelines and milestones
* Update project manager on the detail test phase development and execution planned hours/effort, timelines and milestones
*Ensure test compliance with eClinical and industry quality standards, guidelines and procedures.
Works with higher level analysts to learn about the different technical platforms and testing environments used to test systems
* Assists on improving performance and ensuring consistency in assessing compliance to document processes by developing standardized test plans and consistent testing automation where required
* Analyzes issues and uses judgment to make decisions
* Knowledge of all phases of the quality assurance and testing process related to standard programs and issues
* Responds to customer requests promptly and professionally
* Ability to determine and meet customer expectations on solution development, progress reporting, and frequency of communication
* Values others' input and expertise and is willing to learn from others
* Informs other team members and customers of activities and influencing events
* Applies new technical approaches to best resolve customer problems
* Considers cost of various business actions or alternatives in determining customer solutions
* Understands how to work flexibly within organizational policies and procedures
*Experience owning a defined test phase for system, regression, data or application migration, and UAT testing for a project, and a demonstrated ability to manage issues and risks, and an understanding of appropriate and timely escalation
*Minimum of three years of systems/software project management experience preferably in a clinical, biomedical, or software environment
* Experience working in a team environment with multiple parties
* Experience working on global projects, specifically software implementations, data or application migrations
* Experience leading a small team of people (up to 5) Off shore management of personnel a MUST. Demonstrated supervisory skills
* Experience operating in a validated environment
* Excellent verbal, written, and SQA knowledge required
* Detail oriented, ability to multitask with strong prioritization, planning and organizational skills
* Has experience with conflict; has a high sense of urgency, is able to recognize self accountability and is able to pragmatically resolve tough issues relating to test development and execution
* Has the ability to work independently with minimal supervision or direction
* BA/BS; Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Computer Science degree required
*Previous Pfizer ELC Experience preferred
