Position: SAP SM requirement

Location in Boston, MA

The skills required are:

·         6+  years' experience with SAP SM configuration, including 2 or more implementations or upgrades - at least one of them a SAP ERP (5.0 or 6.0) upgrade.

·         B.S. degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

·         Strong ECC 6.0 configuration, design skills, and process knowledge and experience in the following areas:

o    Technical objects: extensive use and implementation experience notifications and service and internal orders, functional locations, equipment, Contracts, Revenue recognition, settlement and DIP profiles, Billing plans, Standard text Keys, DIEN Materials, BOMs, SD Item categories and CO related master data (Activity types)

o    Service processing  and configuration of technical objects, warranty processing, settlement, Contract and Paid Service Billing, derivation rules would be a plus

o    Returns and Paid repair processing, including standard SAP functionality and deep familiarity with settings in customizing

o    Service products/materials inlc service contracts (customizing of contracts, value contracts)

o    Service accounting: experience in warranty processing, month end support, billing and settlement

o     

Strong technical aptitude in order to define and support complex processes based on standard SAP configuration as well as SAP customizations in the following key areas:

·         Paid repair

·         Vendor warranty tracking

·         Serialization

·         Master data

·         Spare parts planning

·         Equipment configuration as maintained

·         Collaboration and workflow

Additional requirements:

·         Strong experience in service processing in either aerospace or manufacturing industries involving highly configured make/build-to-order products

·         Hands-on experience supporting integration between SM, FI, CO, MM, QM,  SD modules

·         Ability to write clear specifications for programmers to communicate correct requirements and information to key stakeholders

·         Commitment to organization and maintenance of IT documents at various steps of configuration/business process changes is essential

·         Experience working with external application interfaces with SAP 

·         Should have some project management and lead experience in an IT group and work well with business functional members.

Strong customer service orientation is required, and candidate must be highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail
