Role: Build Release Engineer

Location: Nebraska USA

Duration: 6+ months

 

Job Description:

 Deployment of infrastructure management platform and solutions for enterprise and service provider clients. Provide high-quality technical support to end-users. Assist in Data Management tasks, Database creation and maintenance.

 

Role Specific competencies

·        Responsible for deployment of service delivery platforms and services for enterprise and service providers.

·        Communicate deployment requirements to clients and ensure availability of deployment environment
Develop tools and processes to reduce risk and effort required in the deployment process 

·        Work closely with the support teams, development teams and QA teams to understand product deployment process/ challenges and provide very specific feedback. 

·        Ability to do root cause analysis by testing new software deployments and integration with others systems and applications. Recreating a user problem or creating supporting data while validating and logging all defect fixes to Engineering

·        Develop processes to manage large scale deployment in multiple environments 

·        Create and maintain technical and process documentation for team knowledge base

·        Assist in Database installation, upgrades, backup, recovery and other maintenance procedures
Define requirements for product enhancements needed for improvements in deployment 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·        4 to 8 years of total experience 1 – 2 years of  product development experience and 1-2 years of Deployment/ installation experience.

·        Bachelor's degree preferably in Computers Science, Technology, Engineering or Relevant Diploma/ Certification

·        Functional Area : telecom software/ enterprise IT

·        Strong written and oral communication skills 

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

·        Technical expertise in administering SQL Server databases,

·        Windows and Linux Server, Apache,  Application Servers , VMs

·        Very well conversant with Windows Server Operating Systems from a software installation and configuration perspective 

·        Knowledgeable about server hardware, virtualization and operating system configurations 

·        Well-organized and detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 

·        Experience deploying, validating and supporting  networking software and platforms

·        Understanding of different telecom& internet elements and services – voice, data, broadband, instant message, App store, Application developer communities, social networking, advertisement, e-commerce, content management, digital asset management and so on Understanding of Web service standards (SOAP, REST)

·        Understanding of integration with LDAP, mail servers
