Our client, a leading U.S. options exchange, is looking for an experienced professional to fill a software engineer consultant role within its internal development organization. Qualified candidates should have experience developing real-time applications in the financial community.

 

Responsibilities to include: 

 

·         Engineering and enhancing real-time trading applications  Delivering well written and unit tested solutions 

·         Be an effective team player with strong sense of ownership and accountability over assigned application. 

·         Ability to deliver technical documentation to describe software  

 

Required Skills 

 

·         C#/.NET 4.0 

·         Windows Forms 

·         Multi-threading 

·         SQL 

·         Ability to build efficient database applications

·         Excellent communication and problem solving skills 

·         Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues in real time applications 

·         Results oriented with a strong work ethic and team oriented skill set  

 

Required Experience  

 

·         Hands-on C# development experience building real-time trading applications 

·         Experience building extensive user interface applications 

·         Experience building service oriented distributed applications 

·         Experience building efficient data layers

 

Preferred Experience:

 

·         WPF 

·         Direct experience with MS SQL Server 

·         Detail oriented approach. 

·         Knowledge of industry data feeds and financial protocols.
