Location:      Columbus, OH area

JOB TITLE: SAP/Business Objects (BOBJ)/ Xcelsius Developer

MUST HAVES:
1. SR. SAP Business Objects developer
2. Knowledge of Teradata database structures
3. Report development

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Strong understanding of SAP Business Objects (Web intelligence, Xcelsius, and Universes preferred)
• In-depth experiences with Enterprise BI Data Presentation Strategy and implementation, ad hoc reports, standard reports, and dashboards.
• Ability to communicate technical requirements and functional requirements in a clear, easy to understand, manner.
• Knowledge and understanding of relational database, general database design, and the ability to learn new database concepts, processes, tools, and best practice.
• Has a good sense of how to best present data in order to support decision makers.
• Ability to adapt to different software tools or techniques.
• Ability to communicate technical requirements and functional requirements in a clear, easy to understand, manner
• Good Communication skills and experience with SDLC.
• Good understanding of the Data warehouse concepts.
• Involves formal testing and confirms that reports meet documented requirements; facilitates issue resolution during testing process.
• Good understanding of requirement gathering and documentation.
• Supports and addresses user questions and issues; takes ownership of resolution.
• Performs related duties assigned with mindful of the delivery dates.

SKILLS:
• 5+ years in application support/administration for Business Intelligence or Data Warehousing environment .
• 3+ years in SAP Business Objects in a Windows environment. Version 3 experience is required.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in configuring, monitoring, and maintaining environment.
• Proven ability to direct a small team's tasks and efforts.
• Capable of gathering and effectively documenting business requirements, building testing scripts and unit testing reports per functional designs
• Ability to establish good relationships
• Strong business acumen; understands operational impacts on financial processes
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
• BS in Computer science or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in Healthcare is preferred.

2. Mixed experience, some Admin, some Universe Designer, some development-- not strong developer experience
3. Technical support person who does development on the side. Has more Universe Designer experience than anything
4. Use of or participation in an SAP Business Objects project does not make him a WEBI developer

 

JOB TITLE: Lead BOBJ Developer

MUST HAVES:
1)Strong BOBJ development skills
2)Past experience working as a Report Developer (Webi) for large scale projects
3)Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to talk to both internal customers and technical teams
4)Knowledge of Xcelsius a plus but not required

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Developer position, needs to be a self-starter who can work independently. This position is heads down WEBI development. The Developer will need to be able to work independently and develop reports from detailed requirements. This is one position on a team of 7 WEBI developers for a high-visibility project.
Primarily use Webi for report generation. It is 100% report development.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include medium to high complexity BOBJ report development
5-7 years' experience in the following:
- In depth knowledge of building to requirements and requirements documentation
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple deliverables in support of BOBJ projects
- BOBJ report development for Versions XiR3.1 SP5
- Adhoc and standard report development using BOBJ
- Unit and performance test of reports
- Follow guidelines and development process
- Work in a team development environment as well as independently
- Ability to deliver on complex universes and advanced reports
- Expertise in using aggregate aware, index aware, cascaded prompts, and complex calculations in BOBJ designer
- Willingness to uncover and understand Cardinal-specific data and make recommendations to internal customers for greater use/efficiency
- Teradata experience is a major plus
- Requires good communication skills both oral and written forms
- Should be comfortable in both business and technical settings/situations
