Must-haves :
Minimum of 5-6 years java enterprise development experience
Recent experience with Java Swing or SWT
Experience developing concurrentcy API's (front end GUI development)
Core java platform experience (generics, annotations, collections framework)
Experience with threading (synchronization)
J2EE Java enterprise experience (JPA, JDBC, JMS, EJB, RMI, and Servlets)
XML and related technologies (XMLSchema, WSDL)
TCP/IP, UDP or other network domain experience
Strong PL-SQL skills for the backend database (not just queries, need someone with stored procedures, schemas)

Role
We are looking for a senior java developer/engineer with current skills in Java Enterprise, SQL, database management, ETL and high-volume, data based applications. This person will be working on a senior team that contributes new features to the SMS (Security Managament System) application in biannual software releases. They will be responsible for sustaining the product for their A-list customer base of network security administrators within the government, military and private enterprise. This large network security organization provides in-line, real time vulnerability threat protection for most Fortune 500 companies. The SMS manages all the network security devices for this company. The SMS is currently a Java Enterprise application, distributed as an appliance, based on Java Swing, JBoss, MySQL, Vertica and CentOS. The client is currently a Swing application, but is being migrated to browser-based technologies so web technologies experience is good too.
