Title:  Business System Analyst Finance

Location:  Chicago, IL

Duration:  3 Months+

Start Date: Immediate

Finance Specific –

Has experience in conducting analysis with expertise in different business areas, application wide analysis and proposal of solutions. Assembles, analyzes, and represents customer business requirements. Performs feasibility analysis, scopes project, recommends alternative solutions, project strategy, and deliverable prioritization.
Responsible for high level implementation plans, data and process models, cost estimating, cost benefits analysis, and return on investments. These resources are also able to facilitate workshops such as JAD, RAD, and DRP sessions, etc. Business Analysts should also be able to perform as a team leader when necessary. 

Additional Skills: Candidate must have a strong background in business analysis and requirements gathering. Candidate should be able to quickly ramp up (less than 2 weeks) and become an effective contributor to the project team.

Domain/Industry Knowledge
- Knowledge of securities investments is a must.
- Knowledge of securities investment processes for trading and its associated accounting is a must.

Business Analyst/Requirements Analyst Skills –

·         Overall responsibility for gathering, documentation and obtaining sign off of requirement documentation for assigned project deliverables

·          Candidate should have some practical experience with industry standard requirement methodologies/practices

·          Candidate should have strong skills and have techniques for organizing requirements in the requirement documentation.

·         Candidate should understand traceability of requirements from the requirements documentation to testing documentation and technical implementation documentation.

·          Candidate should have strong listening, interviewing/questioning, analytical, written, oral and organization skills

·          Candidate should have strong skills on how to elicit the business need and transform that into detail requirements

·          Candidate should have experience on how to size up the technical complexity for implementing requirements

·          Candidate should understand how to remove/minimize ambiguity and vagueness from business requirements

·          Candidate will be required to submit a sanitized (purged of proprietary system or company names) sample of a data mapping or business requirement document written by the candidate him/herself

Job Family Description: Performs and coordinates the analysis and design of business systems. Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the needs of the assigned customer group from the business and technical perspective. Additional Skills: Specific responsibilities/skills:
• Represent the project team at client meetings. Obtain key changes including requirements, quality assurance plans, schedule, and scope changes.
• Develop business functional requirements documents with the cooperation of the Business Units.
• Evaluate, analyze, and map business processes working with the Business Units to determine possible solutions to increase efficiencies and productivity.
• Work with the Project Manager to ensure assigned milestones are delivered on time, within budget, and it meets or exceeds expectations.
• Follow all quality assurance processes, including periodic reviews and transitions and ensures the end product fulfills the project objectives.
• Assist on other projects as needed, perform other related duties and special projects as required.
• Efficient work style with attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
• Document flowcharting of proposed process and technology solutions.
• Evidence the ability to work with all levels of management.
• Ability to multi-task more than one assigned project

Qualification:
• 3-5 years of Mortgage

Required skills

- Model Validation & Tracking
- New Scorecard development
- Ad Hoc analyses to support projects or policy teams
- Data manipulation and summarization

- BS/MS Degree required in Economics, Statistics, Math or other Quantitative area
- Minimum three years experience in Financial Service Industry in Risk Management and Scoring
- Demonstrated experience in Score Card Development is preferred
- Position requires a strong SAS background / Unix
- Strong communication skills.

This project is a member based application which currently resides on a AS400 system which member access thru a green screen. CVS/Caremark's goal is to change the green screens- which is really called "screen scraping".   They want to modify the green screens to present a more functional, aesthetically pleasing screen to the client and to update the technology.  

Technologies:

The client will be using a tool called “Open Span” to do this process. 

The key technologies the senior developer needs to possess are: 

OpenSpan, Java/ Java Frameworks (should have experience on at least (3) of app frameworks such as: JSF, Struts, Wicket, Stripes or Seam, Spring and/or Hibernate etc.) WEB SVCS and  HTML 

The developer will be working with a team of (5) developers all Java guys and 1 Business Analyst who will gather the requirements.  The consultant will only interact with the business 10% of the time.
