We are looking for SQL/Perl Developer with banking experience for one of my Direct Clients

 

Title:  SQL/Perl Developer

Location:  NY

Duration:  Long Term

Start Date: Immediate

 

Skills Required- SQL, Perl

Key responsibilities:
Analyze and coordinate development of bug fixes and enhancements to business-related applications (trading, reporting, client management,...)
Assume ownership of particular applications;
Work with the support teams to define priorities
Ensure that deliveries follow standards, guidelines and steps as defined in the development methodology;
Participate in the user acceptance testing and training of new implementations (including the supervision and preparation of user documentation).

Additional Skills:
Knowledge of the different financial instruments is desirable although training will be given to the right person.

Experience in a support and/or development role, particularly in a trading environment with a math / analytic background, security industry business knowledge for example Equities, Fixed Income and derivatives would be a plus.

Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas.
May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications.
Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes.
Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations.
