Job Title: SQL Server DBA – Support/Architect

Location: South Brunswick, NJ

Duration: 3+ Months

Interview Process: Phone & Face to Face

Job Description:

 

Candidates need to be Support (closer to Architect) DBAs as opposed to Development. A deep understanding and hands-on experience with both SQL DB Mirroring and Log Shipping is required. In this position you will be integrating the two technologies so experience working with both systems together is a plus but a deep understanding of both is a must. Once the initial phase of the project is complete you will be asked to do some additional support work.

Required Skills:

 

§  SQL 2005 or higher (3-5 years)

§  SQL 2008 (1 year or higher)

§  SQL DB mirroring (2-3 years)

§  Log Shipping (2-3 years)

§  Understand basic maintenance plans

§  Understand SQL Backup/Recovery concepts

§  Legato Networker SQL backup setup (optional)
