Job Title: Senior Financial Services Business Analyst

Location: Boston, MA

Duration: 4-6 Weeks

They must be in driving distance due to face to face interview and they must have superior communication skills.

 

DESCRIPTION:

Detailed documentation of design and data requirements for mutual fund reports including web pages, fact sheets and shareholder reports

Determine/Document/Validate data sources for all data points required

Rigorous testing, bug tracking

Comply with regulatory standards including Sarbanes-Oxley, FINRA and SEC.

 

Job Requirements:

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics or Finance

Minimum of 5 years experience gathering and documenting requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience testing and defect tracking

Proven understanding of mutual fund structure and data model, including Class/Fund/Portfolio relationships, NAV, Performance, Assets, Portfolio Holdings, Expenses, Distributions, etc.

Proven understanding of basic security attributes for Equity, Income and Derivatives, including Sectors, Maturities, Credit Ratings, Market Values, etc.

Conceptual understanding of modern portfolio theory.

Proven ability to query SQL Server and Oracle databases using SQL for business analysis

Proven ability to succeed under strict deadlines

Ability to build report prototypes for proof of concept and common requirement understanding

Ability to work independently with senior management and several departments impacted by the project, such as Operations, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Investment Managers and IT.

Familiarity with Eagle PACE data model a plus

Familiarity with Red Dot (or any CMS) a plus
