REQUIREMENTS:
We are seeking a very senior level VMware Consultant for a long term contract on-site in
Should have a high level of expertise in the following areas:
* ESX
* View
* vCenter
* LCM
* CapIQ
* ThinApp
* AppSpeed
* NetApp and SAN storage
* Enterprise Scale experience (at least 100 nodes)
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Conduct a thorough health check and analysis of the environment
* Evaluate and analyze the current implementation and make recommendations for service level and technical improvements, including storage recommendations
* On-boarding of Customer resources via on-site knowledge transfer and hands-on training
* Creation of new virtual machines and templates
* Physical-to-Virtual (P2V) server migrations
* Execute VMware vSphere* Methodology Test Plan; generate VIM Test Report
* Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring and training for the Customer team
* Provides weekly status reports on projects and tasks
* Manage new support tickets with VMware support and potentially other vendors involved in issues.
