Required Java Application Support Specialist at Chicago, Illinois for 6 Months contract

Skill Set :           

o   Must have an ability to read dense technical documentation, make sense of it and take action based on the conclusions drawn.

o   Hands on development experience with Java 1.5 or 1.6

o   Fluency using Linux 2-3 years of active

o   Strong competence in writing simple shell scripts (ksh) fast.

o   Strong SQL experience.

o   Candidate should be near fluent when it comes to simple SQL queries ran against an Oracle database.

o   Understanding of how Tomcat works.

o   1-2 years of active hands on experience.

o   Ability to create and add a new web application to the web server is required.

o   Comfort level using JUnit and writing test cases covering your code.

o   It is expected that candidate writes test cases for the code they write.

o   Experience and high comfort level working with an enterprise source control system.

Job Description :              

This consulting position will provide day to day support to, and development of tools used to support Electronic Trading systems and Clearing QA environments and initiatives.

This is an Application support with emphasis on tool development position.
