Manual/Backend Tester (Multiple Openings)

• Ability to size, design, write and execute test scripts for UNIX and/or Web- based systems
• Proficiency in UNIX, including writing shell scripts
• 5+ years experience in quality assurance testing of software applications; including analyzing and understanding business and technical requirements, building positive/negative test data
• Weblogic Application Server experience
• Must have strong Database testing experience (DB2 preferred)
• Ability to create, review, validate, and maintain a comprehensive regression test suite
• Ability to independently ensure that test case standards are adhered to for all targeted test and regression test cases
• Ability to execute regression suites and report and track problems by providing reproducible test cases  while working with other product team members to close problem reports
• Ability to independently conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing development/business partners with sufficient detail to understand, replicate and resolve
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and have experience performing Database data validation testing
• Proficiency in XML and have experience performing XML file validation testing is nice to have
• Demonstrated knowledge of some or all of the following: Java (J2EE), C, C++, shell programming, WebLogic, and ClearQuest
• Knowledge of the US Residential Mortgage Industry is a plus
