Position: Oracle eBusiness Suite Application Database Administrator

Location: Minnesota (near Minneapolis)

Duration: 9 months

 

The Oracle eBusiness Suite Application Database Administrator configures, monitors, and troubleshoots all components of the Oracle EBusiness Suite product.

 

The accomplished individual will have experiences in:

 

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems (or similar field)

 

• Oracle eBusiness Suite Release 12 and Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux

 

• 10+ years experience in Oracle Database with 3+ years experience in Real Application Cluster (RAC) technology

 

• 10+ years Disaster recovery technologies, including RMAN, Enterprise Manager and Data Guard

 

• 10+ years Supporting Oracle eBusiness Suite with complex application and database topologies, including external internet access

 

• 10+ years Performance tuning techniques for SQL code

 

• 10+ years Configuration of multiple concurrent managers for performance tuning and load distribution

 

• Supporting Oracle eBusiness Suite in integrated environments (SOA Suite environments a plus)

 

• 5+ years Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control

 

• 10+ years experience in Oracle eBusiness Suite functionality and operation

 

• Experience as a member of a global support team

 

• Proven leadership skills in cross functional teams

 

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to:

 

• Respond to alert messages from all levels of the application and database

 

• Administration of eBusiness Suite workflow

 

• Resolve OS, Database, web-server, network and related technology issues

 

• Execute performance analysis and develop performance improvement schemes

 

• Install, patch, and upgrade application and database components

 

• Promote of custom objects (Using Quest Stat migration utility)

 

• Clone application and database tiers (Using ad clone)

 

• Start/stop eBusiness application and database tier components

 

• Monitor application and database performance

 

• Advise developers on tuning custom SQL and index creation

 

• Communicate with a strong command of English, good interpersonal skills

 

• Work independently; and as a team member
