SAP WMS Functional Consultant

Duration is 6 mos. might extend if needed

Location: Houston, TX

Make sure communication skills are good.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

·         This position requires extensive hands-on SAP WMS configuration experience. A thorough knowledge of the integration requirements with QM, PP, and SD is necessary.

 

Responsibilities will include:

·         Gathering requirements and assessing deltas between legacy WMS system and current global blueprint

·         Extending existing blueprint to additional warehouse sites by extending current configuration

·         Generation of functional specifications for solution development – SAP, Reports, Hand Held scanners.

·         Development of written procedures and documentation for Sap functional team

·         Development of written procedures and training materials WMS end-users

·         Delivery of End-User training and support

·         Execution of cut-over inventory activities as WMS replaces IM on a plant to plant basis

·         Providing refresher training to existing WMS user base as required

 

Education Requirement or Equivalent:

·         Bachelor's degree preferred, extensive hands-on experience can suffice depending on the content.

 

Experience Requirement:

·         Minimum of 10+ years of SAP functional consulting experience in an SAP environment is required, in the chemical business a definite plus.

·         Minimum of 3+ full SAP WMS implementations required.

·         Experience with Handling Units required, especially as it relates to pallet level tracking and monitoring.

·         Full understanding of the integration with SAP QM for lot segmentation, etc.

·         Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 a plus.

 

Special Skills or Knowledge Required:

·         Ability to utilize personal business experience to guide the PP/QM business stakeholders in strategic planning of SAP improvements

·         An energetic quick learner with the ability to maintain a positive attitude while adapting to new and changing environments

·         Highly responsive professional with the ability to build confidence and trust with colleagues and internal customers in a multi-cultural environment

·         Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills

·         Valid Passport and ability to travel to Europe and South America, specifically Brazil.
