Subject: QA ANALYST – MAINFRAME
Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: 1.5 years


The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of recent experience working in a structured Software Development environment, with experience in creating/executing functional test cases for Host/3270 application environments. This individual will also gather and analyze data in support of the business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This will include writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems.
Candidates must enjoy the challenges of working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and proactively remove obstacles and take on new challenges. A strong aptitude for testing Host/3270 product development, good communication, collaboration, and technical skill are essential.

Expectation

Demonstrates the ability to analyze a problem and complete detailed reports
Shows initiative in gaining in-depth experience in areas of technology relevant to testing of company products
Demonstrates the ability to test software changes to ensure integration into company systems meets functional
requirements, system   compliance, and technical specifications
Demonstrates the ability to analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws
Demonstrates the ability to identify, recommend and implements process improvements to enhance testing strategies
Works well in a team environment and alone
Demonstrates an ability to adapt to the changing needs of a project
Demonstrates an ability to meet deadlines
Performs more complex analysis of business requirements and system specifications.
May serve as a coordinator for testing activities on a project.
Creates/Reviews test plans and scripts.
Performs moderately complex to complex test data conditioning, regression testing and testing validation.
Demonstrates the ability to provide direction to less experienced analysts.
Documents all phases of the Systems QA process
Demonstrates strong communication skills, both in writing and orally

Qualifications
                7+ years experience in the design, development and implementation of quality assurance standards for software testing
                Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies
                Strong experience with Quality Center
                Extensive experience with Host/3270 applications
                Experience creating complex SQL queries a plus
