Systems Administrator in RTP, North Carolina
Duration- 7 Months with possible extension
 
Must have-
5 Yrs- Linux Administration
4 Yrs- MySQL Database Administration
4 Yrs- Apache Administration
3 Yrs- Experience administering Atlassian Project Tracking (Jira) and Collaboration (Confluence) tools, including API development and custom templates
3 Yrs- Exposure to Agile methodology and systems
 
Exposure to i18N/l10N considerations and requirements
 
This team's mission is to drive the technology strategy for developing a consolidated Support Website and Online Communities Platform. The Business Operations team drives business process and application innovation while shaping organizational strategy in order to maintain world-class online support.
 
The Business Operations team has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, independent thinking, cross functionally focused systems administrator. The ideal candidate will be able to provide high touch support of existing business applications, while also keeping a keen eye towards using collaborative, web-based technologies to improve overall organizational efficiencies. A successful candidate will display a high level of initiative working within a highly distributed workforce, and will be able to connect the needs of the end users with advancing the mission of the overall organization.
 
 
Required skills include:

    At least three years experience administering, configuring and supporting a wiki solution (especially Confluence) at an organization of our scale, including end user support

    Experience customizing wiki platforms with HTML, CSS, Javascript and/or wiki markup language 

    Experience configuring Confluence plug-ins and third party tools to support organization?s needs (e.g., RefinedWiki, ThemeBuilder, Community Bubbles, etc.)


    Excellent communications and presentation skills, extremely organized, self-starter
  • Passionate about enabling team productivity through collaboration technologies
  • Experience administering Atlassian Project Tracking (Jira) and Collaboration (Confluence) tools, including development of APIs and custom templates
  • Linux systems administration for a high priority system, including Redhat Enterprise running MySQL, Apache HTTP and Tomcat
  • Exposure to Agile methodology and systems
  • Exposure to i18N/l10N considerations and requirements
 
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Rally Software's agile project management application .
  • Working knowledge of one or more web analytics and business intelligence applications (Google Analytics, Unica,, Business Objects, Omniture, Cognos, etc)
  • Knowledge of software version control concepts and/or change management principles. Experience with subversion or CVS revision control systems is a plus.
  • Experience configuring and administering automated monitoring systems
  • Interest in Open Source software development
  • Development skills with web based technologies (JavaScript, XML, CSS, PHP, HTML5)
  • SOA - SOAP
  • SQL Server Development
  • Perl Scripting

  • Ability to work in a distributed team environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while working toward long-term goals
