Position : Guidewire Developer
Location : Glendale, AZ
Duration : Long term contract
Role
Experience working on Guidewire Claims (P&C) Platform, and on integration projects
Demonstrated track record as a consulting team lead or a technical lead
Knowledge of policy, billing, or claim processes within an insurance company
Experience with Scrum or other Agile development methodologies
Understanding of technical design approaches
Expertise in the Java programming language to build API's (not doing the actually coding or testing)
Experience with multi-tier web applications
Ability to work successfully with client team members
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience in full-lifecycle software implementation projects
Experience developing technical specifications and implementing those specifications through a combination of custom programming and product configuration
Demonstrated ability to design, program, test, and deploy complicated integration software
Experience with messaging and database connectivity
Ability to work with engineers to review technical designs and participate in code reviews

Day-to-Day
Partnering with client business teams to understand business objectives and integration requirements
Developing an overall integration architecture for the client
Producing technical design documents for integration programs
Estimating the effort required to build necessary integration programs
Working with the Guidewire development team to further develop our integration adapters and other integration mechanisms
Developing custom integration programs to connect Guidewire applications with other internal and external systems
Coaching and mentoring customer team members working on integration programs
Planning integration testing and performance testing of customer solutions
Supporting execution of integration tests, including monitoring software incidents and communicating software issues to Guidewire development
Partnering with client business teams to understand business objectives and integration requirements
Developing an overall integration architecture for the client
