Position : Java Developer
Location : Sunrise, Florida
Duration : 3-6 Months Contract
Must Haves:
Excellent knowledge of Java including:
Java Swing graphical interface
Java threading
Java network sockets
Good understanding of Java class interface techniques
Java Native Interface (JNI) to call native code
Client side development
Excellent debugging skills
Ability to replicate problems from specific steps documented in defect reports.
Ability to determine what information is missing and ask the defect reporter to obtain that information.
Ability to take replication steps, a trace output and other information and isolate a problem to the specific code and fix that code
Ability to work in a team with firmware developers to implement new features partially implemented in firmware and partially implemented in the Java client.
Ability to work in a team with other client developers.
Excellent organizational ability to work in multiple code bases for multiple projects.
Excellent documentation skills.
Good communication skills

The day-to-day responsibilities of the position would be:
Develop and/or maintain Java KVM clients for multiple operating systems and projects.
Understand and root cause customer and internally reported client issues, then provide and unit test necessary fixes
Conduct code reviews of new or modified code
Work as part of a team to develop design documentation for new features as specified by requirements
Add features to the Java KVM clients as specified by design documentation
Perform other duties as assigned
