Looking for Java engineers passionate about coding! This position will be part of a team developing SOA based offerings on a new cloud solution within the fast growing domain of healthcare.
Responsibilities:
• Develop new SOA applications and implement enhancements for existing applications. It includes writing application code, creating database objects, analyze solutions for adherence to best practices for software development, provide time and cost estimates.
• Maintain existing applications and databases, including performance enhancements, upgrades, and daily monitoring and maintenance tasks.
• Research, recommend and implement reporting solutions as applicable for each process or customer.
• Work with the departments within the association to help them implement sound technology decisions.
• Monitor, tune and diagnose system issues on new deployments and systems currently up and running.
• Research new platforms and technologies for future use or to streamline existing processes.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the team in technology best practices, in addition to participating in peer training and brainstorming sessions.

• 5+ years' experience designing, developing, deploying and supporting SOA applications in a large scale environment
• Experience in the healthcare industry
• Demonstrable experience with J2EE and associated technologies.
• Ability to write OO code that makes sense.
• Agile experience or an interest or passion for working in an Agile environment.
• First rate problem solving abilities.
• One or more web frameworks, e.g. Spring MVC, Struts.
• Working knowledge of Java based ORMs
• Use and design of SOA in high volume transaction environments
