Title: MS Exchange Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 6.5 Months (possibility of extension)
Description:
· Acts in a high-level technical role as a designer for major computer applications utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.
· Works on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.
· Designs platforms, modifies designs, and optimizes solutions.
· Acts as an expert technical resource to staff in the systems development, testing, and implementation processes.
· May act as project/team lead.
The Exchange engineer can expect to be heavily involved in the following activities:
· Integration of applications with Exchange Server 2007/2010 mailboxes via Exchange Web Services (EWS).
· Performance metrics on Client Access (CAS) servers and the impact the EWS traffic will have on the CAS SVRs.
· Exchange 2007/2010 engineering in the following areas:
o CAS Servers
o Hub Transport (HUB) Servers
o Mailbox (MBX) Servers
o E2K7 Cluster Continuous Replication (CCR) Clustering
o E2K10 Database Availability Group (DAG) Administration
Desired Platform/Skillsets:
· Experience building and supporting scalable, mission critical MS Exchange messaging environments. Specifically, the candidate must possess extensive experience designing, deploying and administering MS Exchange Server 2007 and MS Exchange Server 2010.
· Experience integrating applications with Exchange Web Services (EWS) of MS Exchange, configuring/integrating MS Outlook 2003/2007/2010, and security planning when deploying messaging solutions. Success also hinges on the candidate being able to efficiently document the engineered solution and effectively communicate that solution to peers, project managers and senior leadership.
· Content Management/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application experience a plus.
· Should be able to lead the email engineering effort of the project at the enterprise level.
