Senior Storage Engineer

Location: Lincolnshire Illinois.

Duration: 6 months plus possible extension.

Must Have:

-       5 years as a Senior Experienced Admin/Engineer - Administrating the solutions architected

-       EMC Certifications are a big plus; Bachelor's Degree (optional)

-       Tiering = VERY IMPORTANT. (VMAX, Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3)

-       Open System Architecture/Networking

-       SAN Storage Experience and some NAS storage/architecture.

-       Installation/Configuration

-       CX, NS, VMAX

-       Capacity Planning - understand the methodology behind capacity planning

-       Understand fiber cards, especially with switches

-       Zoning /Masking

-       Enterprise Level (VMAX)

-       Strong Time Management Skills & Good Communication Skills

 

 

 Candidate will be performing 25% work related to projects that are assigned and approximately 75% support/administration. Consultant will be highly focused on troubleshooting issues within the environment as a part of their administration efforts. Their responsibilities will also include:

documentation of new environments (Visio Diagrams), SAN infrastructure at an enterprise level, Capacity Planning, scripting, bin file layouts, and light technical writing.
