| Description: SQA Automation Engineer is responsible for the planning, developing/implementing the automation design, reviewing and creation of automated functional tests. This Automation Engineer will possess the necessary skills and experience to understand the infrastructure and develop automation scripts. This position will require you to work with multiple SQA members and developers, with different degrees of knowledge in automation. Primary Job Duties: *Develops and documents overall testing infrastructure on multiple platforms, automated testing goals, and work with team members to develop automated regression testing scripts. *Serves as expert in test automation tools as provided in the Primary Skills section. *Researches, recommends and establishes best practices in manual and automated testing to encourage well-documented and reproducible testing results. *Leads continuous improvements test automation and process improvement to provide improved quality assurance and reduction in testing cycle time. *Defines and implements standards to satisfy the retention, cataloging and execution requirements for the automated regression test suites. *Builds automated regression test suite using automated scripts. *May participate as needed in total team testing, maybe asked to do manual testing to help supplement other team members or efforts. Requirements Primary Skills/Knowledge: *Manual Web Testing and Backend Testing background and familiarity with automated testing tools required. *Proficient with HP's Quick Test Pro *Experience in web services testing *Experience with SoapUI and has automated testing using SoapUI *Has created complicated scripts that verify data *Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and experience creating SQL queries. *Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines and changing priorities *Strong analytical skills. *Strong team-oriented interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate positive working relationships. *Strong working knowledge of VB scripting and Java Scripting. *Strong working knowledge in VBA. *Working experience with API – should be able to understand the functions and methods provided for any API and use them for automation. *Data migration testing automation will be a plus. *HTA programming skills will be a plus. *Working knowledge of excel macros and programming preferred. *Working experience in reading, writing and manipulating text from different sources like text file, excel, database (Oracle) through automated scripts. *Experience with testing/automating apple apps for iphone is a plus. *Experience in Agile methodologies and able to create automation approaches to fit Agile implementations *Proven track record of delivering quality scripting with documentation. *Ability to work within a team, and if needed, independently at a very fast paced environment. BA-Bachelor of Arts or equivalent combination work experience in a similar function required. Minimum 1-2 yrs of experience as a Software QA/Test Analyst; minimum experience of 3 yrs of test automation with the skills mentioned in the Primary Skills/Knowledge. |
