Position: Senior MS SQL Server Tech Lead

Location: Lexington, MA **LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY**
Duration: 6+ months, with extensions

Seeking a Senior MSSQL Server Tech Lead for a direct end client in the Greater Boston, MA market for a 6 plus month contract opportunity. The selected consultant will have experience managing teams consisting of 4 or more technical developers (including subordinates with development backgrounds.) Additionally they will possess experience with MS Analysis and knowledge of eGate. The applicant must also have very strong relational database development experience especially MS SQL Server and SQL Tuning The resource will be able to demonstrate knowledge & experience of software development lifecycle & methodologies spanning development, testing, release and deployment management; author technical specifications, designs and diagrams & have strong technical development & relational platform design experience specifically with systems integration/interface development and have the ability to determine tradeoffs, estimates and overall technical approaches as well as the ability to work effectively with people from peer IT organizations. It is preferred that those interested have Health Care development experience in their respective backgrounds and excellent communication and writing skills.

Skills/Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in IS, computer science or related field preferred
• Minimum 8 years IT development experience including software development lifecycle & methodologies spanning development, testing, release and deployment management.
• Experience with BI Reporting highly desired
• Strong Relational Database development experience with MS SQL Server, & MS Access)

Ability to write & execute UNIX shell scripts & manage job scheduling
