Technical/Functional Skills

:

·        Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·        Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts is mandatory.

·        Good understanding of requirements, and technical experience with databases and data warehousing concepts.

·        Experience using Business Intelligence tools such as Business Objects.

·        Must be able to translate the requirements or Business logic to the design.

·        Hands on experience in writing SQL queries.

·        5+ yrs of experience

·        Able to creatively solve complex problems.

·        Able to work independently as well as be a team player

·        Ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects

·        Strong working knowledge of MS applications (Excel, Word)

·        Good knowledge of Software Quality Assurance methodology is mandatory.

·        Good knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle is mandatory.

·        Excellent communication skills mandatory.

·        Prior exposure to Agile software development process is desired.

·        Understanding of Terawatt/SQL/Oracle database structure and experience working with SQL Assistant, Query Analyzer or Toad for Terawatt/SQL Server/Oracle databases is desired.

Note: Candidates will be required to take an on-site SQL test.

Roles & Responsibilities

:

·        BI/EDW Development and Production support;

·        Assume other responsibilities as directed;

·        Interaction and discussions with Business users;

·        Design and Development of Business Intelligence reports:

·        1. Developing ETL process using Terawatt and SQL;

·        2. Developing Reports using ASP Reporting Engine;

·        3. Developing reports using Business Objects and Web Intelligence;

·        4. Testing and Production support and Maintenance;

·        Report documentation:

·        1. Technical Design Documents for Reports and ETL Processes;

·        2. Developing Project document templates;

·        3. Developing Test cases.

·        Productions Support. – Handling Trouble tickets, handling issues posted by field/business, monitoring the FORT jobs for report availability.
