Job Description:

This position is for a Front-End Architect to work as a technical lead with several front-end engineers across various operational teams. The position will be responsible for evangelizing standards and conventions of various browser based and mobile technologies, such as HTML5 and CSS3, as well as designing and architecting reusable plug-ins, frameworks and API's.

Responsibilities:

•             Ability to measure and optimize front end performance

•             Establishing conventions and standards within the organization

•             Developing plugins (.Net, JavaScript), frameworks and API's that can be reused across other websites

•             Designing scalable architecture for various browsers and mobile devices.

•             Mentoring and training other front-end engineers

•             Collaborate with other architects within the organization to come up with proposals and recommendations for architecture

•             Work with the product group and other stakeholders within the organization to ensure that product initiatives can be met

•             Position is hands- ability to demonstrate and deliver rapid prototypes as well as work directly with production code

Requirements: 

•             BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field or relevant work experience

•             10+ years experience developing Web based user interfaces

•             Expert in JQuery plugin development or another modern JavaScript framework

•             Expert CSS3, HTML5 and .Net, JavaScript Development

•             Experience with REST, JSON, XML and at least one server side language or platform

•             Familiarity with writing efficient CSS/JS

•             Proficient with debugging JavaScript, adding breakpoints and stepping through scripts

•             Very good understanding of Web 2.0 technologies and UI paradigm.

•             Experience with Flash, Silverlight and HTML 5 and other rich media technologies

•             Experience with Web Analytics

•             Experience with Charting solutions and dashboards

•             Experience with modular and componentized UI and mash ups
