Job Title : WebSphere Portal Developer
Location : Jacksonville, FL
Duration : 6+ Months Contract
The client is looking for a Senior WebSphere Developer for Portal Production Support.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting and providing production support for internally developed Websphere application. The application is a tier 1 application that mandates the application is available 24x7
Responsible for monitoring and working on problem tickets, following it up with business and technical teams, and ensuring the problem is successfully resolved.
Responsible for documenting the issue, cause and resolution
Will be the on-call person for the application.
Will work with the appropriate development team members to bring the issue to resolution
Supports application throughout the Product Development life cycle *Monitor the application and the performance to ensure problems are detected before they become issues and involve the appropriate teams to determine a resolution to the application.
Job Requirements:
6+ years experience programming using Java J2EE language Experience developing in Hibernate and Spring
Experience with Content management Systems Experience developing web based services and SOA
IBM Websphere Application server 5.0and 6.0 experience
Experienced applying J2EE security, Concurrency, Transactions, Session Management, J2EE Patterns, and Frameworks to application solutions
Experience with Ajax Demonstrated experience with Unix (AIX) operating systems
Understanding of J2EE, MQ Series, IBM WSAD or RAD, Apache Struts, Unix Shell Scripting, Database, Db2, SQL, HTML, JavaScript and XML technologies
Advanced Experience with RUP methodology and rational tools Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle, product development methodologies, database methodologies and system integration
Demonstrated experience using SQL or similar query language Demonstrated experience using debugging tools -RAD
Demonstrated experience using versioning tools (Clear case)
Understanding of coding design and documentation protocol as well as unit testing, change management and release procedures
