Job Title:   SAS Application Developer:
Location : Woodcliff Lake, NJ
Duration:  6-12 months
 
REQUIREMENTS:
A solid knowledge of SAS foundation (base, macro, af, graph, stat) and the ability to rapidly debug existing applications.
Sound understanding of I.T. processes, Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and Quality Management with the ability to apply those principles
Additional knowledge in Javascript, SAS internet, and writing CGI scripts are a plus.
Must support Clinical reporting requests from customers in a very timely and accurate method.
Strong experience in building SAS Clinical applications
Strong analytical and good statistical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills
Problem solving skills, attention to detail, good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in the entire software-development cycle and completing the accompanying documentation.
Experience of working in a regulated environment (e.g. GxP).
Self-motivated, goal-oriented.
Must be able to follow strict guidelines and procedures.
Must have excellent English skills in reading and writing
General knowledge of web based technologies is a plus.
Experience with code reviews and identifying programming deficiencies
Knowledge of relational database designs
Experience with windows and Unix platforms. SAS systems experience includes Base SAS, SAS/FSP, SAS/AF, SCL, Macro Facility, SAS/Graph, SAS/Assist and SAS/Insight within a UNIX operating system.
Bachelor degree or above in scientific or related field; minimum 2 years in pharma. Six years of relevant SAS programming in a CRO or Pharmaceutical organization.
Person needs to have SAS Programming, Clinical experience in addition this person needs to understand application development and support. This is a very hybrid role, combo of SAS and IT.
