Title: Service-Now Developer

Duration: Long term

Location: Midtown, NY 

Job Description:

The Developer/Analyst will gather requirements, document and develop functionality using Service-Now.

The consultant will also be responsible for issue resolution and troubleshooting, as well as researching Service-Now functionality as required. 

The ideal candidate should have a fundamental understanding of IT service management and the ITIL business processes; experience working closely with SME's, project managers, and process owners to capture business requirements, translate them into technical specifications and develop service now functionality.

Experience includes:

Service-Now development and configuration

Service-Now Scripting experience using JavaScript

Gathering business requirements and analysis

Application development experience in the following is desirable- C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Visual Studio .NET, classic ASP.

Database development with SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 or Oracle

Service-Now System Administration certification a plus

Responsibilities include:

Configure Service-Now applications, various modules and plugins

Develop Import Sets for Data Integration

Business Analysis and creating workflow diagrams

Use approved change management processes to manage update sets and system upgrades to the Production instance

Create and monitor performance metrics

Create ad hoc reports and reporting schedules

Work with IT service owners, process owners and various service delivery groups

Work with diverse and potentially demanding business customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Ability to develop and support applications with minimal intervention
