I am in an immediate need for a backfill for a strong Web tester.  Minneapolis, MN.  We recently had a candidate back out that was supposed to start this Monday.  The candidate needs to be local to Minneapolis as it will require a face to face environment.

Must have strong communication, be proactive ect.  They will be working in an Agile group.

 

The duration is 6 + months

BR: Up to $55 hr

 

Job Description: Serve as QA Analyst, focusing on test case development and execution but provides a variety of roles within the QA umbrella. Works under a QA Lead, but will also need to design overall test approaches for areas within the project. Ability to work within a fast-paced and creative team where process and tools evolve instead of being fully predetermined in the beginning.

 

Job Qualifications:

• Experience working on Web based applications used by the public (not just internally controlled websites).
• Experience testing API and web services.
• Understanding the SDLC process and defect life cycle.
• Experience working on Smoke, Functional, Regression, UAT, Integration, End to End and Database testing.
• Experience writing and editing test cases, test scenarios and executing test cases.
• Experience using bug tracking tools like Quality Center. Input and track defects per defect management process and assist in defect analysis and assignment.
• Experience on testing XML files.
• Extensive experience in manual testing.
• Experience in following Agile methodology.
• Good communication and  coordination with multiple teams.
• Good fit for the team – creative problem solving, easy to work with, and excellent team dynamic relationship skills.

 

Preferred Experience:

• At least 4 to 5 years of QA experience.
• Experience with SOAP UI.
• Experience using SQL queries.
• Experience with at least one automation tool like Selenium or QTP.
• Experience creating test plans.
