Position : Sybase DBA
Location : Mettawa IL or Salinas CA

MUST:
Qualified candidates must have previous experience with Sybase and one other database – Oracle, SQL Server or DB2.

Role:
We are looking for a Sybase DBA but also needs to have DBA experience on ONE other platform – either SQL Server, Oracle or DB2
We are looking for a Sybase DBA but also needs to have DBA experience on ONE other platform – either SQL Server, Oracle or DB2
The DBA will function as a high-level technician working on a large and complex Sybase and one other environment. As a member of a team of DBA's, the DBA should be capable of thinking independently, but operating in a team environment. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, back-ups, troubleshooting and performance tuning of databases. The DBA will need to have experience on a UNIX platform. The consultant will work with developers to help with object promotions, regression testing and QA. Must be self-motivated, a team player and have a strong track record in customer satisfaction; Strong written/oral communication skills; Need to have a propensity for problem-solving..
