Job Title - Linux Administrator

Relevant Experience – 6-8 years

Location:- West Chester, PA

 

Job Responsibilities & Requirements:

Extensive experience with RedHat Linux

3+ years working in a 24x7 production high availability environment

Extensive experience with Virtualization, specifically VMWare vSphere, ESX or ESXi, and vCenter

Experience working with clustered / load-balanced servers

Experience in shell and Perl scripting

Experience with configuring and implementing Nagios monitoring software

Provide primary system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of the Linux environment and performance issues

Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements

Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure

Experience with industry-standard foundation technologies such as DNS, SMTP, NTP, LDAP, and NFS

Daily monitoring and maintenance of servers

Test and apply new software and maintenance patches, including patch management services

Knowledge on HP Server hardware, including Rack & Blade servers

Perform back up, file replications and script management for servers

Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures

Experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment

RedHat Certification is a plus

Excellent communication skills including interacting with management and all levels of our organization

Ability to have flexibility to the work schedule, hours (including overtime) as dictated by the needs of the organization or to meet the demands of a specific project
