Our client is seeking an immediate SQL Server DBA for a contract assignment.  Details include:
Duties, Activities and Responsibilities
Work in a team environment supporting primarily project work for client?s business application environment and also provide secondary Level 2 Operational support when required.
Work directly with a project team on a major internal IT project consisting of SQL Server capacity build out and SQL database migrations to our private cloud.  This includes design and delivery of infrastructure and process improvement where appropriate.
Perform general SQL server database configuration, administration troubleshooting, performance monitoring, tuning and backup/recovery and also provide level 2 support for the Oracle database environment as appropriate.   
Must be self-motivated customer focused and a team player and have proven problem solving skills along with strong written and communication and interpersonal skills. 
Must be able to achieve and maintain the required NERC-CIP, Nuclear Data Access, and other corporate or departmental certifications, training, and/or clearances needed to have appropriate access to the environment.
On-call support 24x7 as required.
Required Technical Qualifications
Experience with SQL Server database technologies (SQL 2000, SQL 2005, SQL 2008, SQL 2012) including experience with clustering and other advanced configurations.
General Windows server operating skills
Any experience with Oracle Database technologies (9i, 10g, and 11g) including Oracle Enterprise Manager (Grid Control), ASM, Oracle Data Guard, RAC and Streams along with other advanced configurations is an added plus.
UNIX, Linux server operating systems skills are an added plus
