Looking for a QA contractor with at least 2-3 years of experience within the trading industry for my client located downtown Chicago, IL. This role is slated to go through until the end of the year. My client is looking at only local candidates that can onsite interview and have great communication skills. Please send me candidates that fit the job description below and their rates.
Must haves:
3 - 4 years of software quality assurance required
2 - 3 years of experience working for a trading company, exchange or trading industry vendor required
Prior experience testing market data feed handlers at the bus level and at a data validation level OR experience testing trade or position management systems
Experience analyzing application performance and comparison tests with data feed software alternatives.
Expertise with at least one scripting languages such as shell, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.
Exposure to post-trade and clearing processes
Experience testing in Linux environments with no graphical user interfaces
Strong prior experience in use of SQL for data verification purposes
Experience testing messaging protocols (e.g. MSMQ, 29west)
Clear understanding of software testing methodologies and software development lifecycle.
