Quality Assurance Automation Engineer who can thrive in this intellectually challenging environment. We are seeking candidates who are proactive, self-starters, and have a proven track record to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with a team as required.
We are building world-class products to help our clients serve their customers better. We are looking for additional innovative solutions which will contribute towards these next generation initiatives. This includes development for a core set of next generation of applications while creatively pushing the envelope using cutting edge technologies. The candidate will will work closely with technical and non-technical staff, write test plans/cases, create automated test frameworks, perform heads down testing, work with developers and technical operations to isolate and solve problems, and create necessary documentation to include test cycle summaries.
Job Summary
1. Build automated test cases and execute them during our Agile sprints as part of the QA team
2. Scripting languages / SOA service testing experience is vital – preference is ability to write Junit tests as part of our code base
3. Identify best practices and processes for testing SOA services in our very large scale, high-performing environment
We are looking for someone interested in taking full ownership/accountability that our SOA services are fully tested and performance under load is met. The candidate must be able to think outside of the development box and create test cases in a top notch QA oriented mindset.
Job Requirements:
· 4+years hands on QA/Testing Experience
· Automation of test cases from the ground level to full regression suite mandatory
· BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
· 1 - 2 years testing in an Agile life cycle
· 1-2 years testing in a SOA environment
· 4+ years test artifact creation (Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Summaries)
· Ability to write code in a minimum of one structured programming language (Java, Python, or Perl required) for the purpose of testing services
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Excellent critical thinking and problem solving abilities
· Attention to detail is a must

Test Definition:
· Plan, write, and execute test plans
· Write, maintain, and verify test cases (JUnit, Selenium or equivalent preferred)
· Develop test matrixes, identify test data and use case requirements
· Proven experience writing test plans and test cases
· Experience analyzing the needs of internal/external clients
Test Execution:
· Black Box/Grey Box/White Box Testing: Including testing against large-scale database systems.
· Experience writing SQL queries to identify and verify data used by code.
· Experience reading logs to identify and verify code functionality and/or error processing
· Must be comfortable with relational database technology, concepts and tools
· Must be able to work in an environment with short development and release cycles
· Experience with service test execution and/or tools such as SoapUI, Junit, Selenium, TestNG
Bug Tracking:
· Experience using a bug tracking tool (e.g., Jira), and associated processes
· Responsible for identifying, logging, tracking and escalating bugs
· Verifying bug fixes, through regression testing
· Updating & maintaining related QA documentation
· Ability to write concise bug reports.
Automation:
· Experience with programming/scripting language(s) (e.g., Perl, UNIX shell)
· Experience with setting up and maintaining an automated testing environment
· Experience using automation test tools (Selenium, SoapUI, Junit, TestNG)
Server Knowledge:
· Experience with basic server administration, including server starts/stops
· Experience with basic modifications to web server config files
· Experience with Apache on Linux
Preferred:
· Experience testing applications developed using Open Source Technologies in a large scale transaction environment
· Experience using test case management tools (e.g., Testlink, Test Director)
· Prior experience with open-source test automation tools
· Experience with Linux/Unix Environments
· Experience with MySQL and Oracle
· Experience with Configuration Management
· Experience with Release Management process/methodology.
