The position is for a programmer working in the Legal and Compliance Technology area to manage a wide variety of reporting and data manipulation applications. The applicant is expected to be self-motivated, keen to learn the business and dedicated to a high level of customer service. Three or more years of development experience in Perl and SQL in the Securities industry and familiarity with Windows and Unix development.
Responsibilities:
• Understanding of basic database concepts and development techniques for database systems.
• Organized and structured.
• Delivery focused.
• Successful track record working under pressure and to deadlines.
• Personable with good communication skills
Essential Experience:
• Perl (3+ years)
• SQL (3+ years)
• SOLARIS/Unix
• Sybase / SQL Server•
Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills)
• Familiarity with Email archiving and communications surveillance technology
• Java experience not required but would be a plus
