Position: Oracle DBA, ANYWHERE IN US,
Duration: I years
Education and Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in an Information Technology Discipline and 6 or more years professional experience
• 5 years Oracle database experience including database design, upgrades and performance tuning
• 3 years' experience supporting Oracle Databases, with upgrade experience a plus
• 3 years experience with Oracle RAC including installation and maintenance following industry best practices
• Working knowledge of Oracle Data Guard and ASM
• Significant experience migrating and consolidating heterogeneous database releases
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• Oracle database installation and upgrade experience with versions 9i, 10g and 11i
• Experience with database backup and recovery, including implementing disaster recovery standards
• Database design, optimization, and tuning
• 2 year of experience with PostgreSQL desirable
• MySQL administration skills a plus
• Storage monitoring and growth projections for all database systems using local disk, SAN storage
• Ability to design storage considerations for Industry Best Practice Design
• Database security and compliance
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a 24 x 7 production environment
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and effective problem-solving skills
