UI/UX Designer / Developer 

 

The User Interaction Designer will be responsible for developing a working knowledge and build relationships with our user base to create a design meaningful to them. As the UI Designer, the candidate will work closely with Product Management to translate requirements into designs that facilitate rapid prototyping. Along with developing wireframes and navigation, the candidate will help define the look and feel of the product. Responsibilities also include validation and iteration of the design with target users, and close partnership with application architect and developers to ensure product feasibility.

 

Responsibilities

·         Combine research and design skills to understand the user needs and produce concepts/solutions/designs that people want to use.

·         Focus on the structure and layout of content, navigation and how users interact with them.

·         Deliver best practice user interaction designs, from concept through launch.

·         Design for a variety of platforms, including smartphones, tablets, and web browsers.

·         Produce designs to help the entire product team understand the desired customer experience: storyboards, flows, wireframes and prototypes.

·         Manage basic level of usability testing for prototypes. Quickly collect and decipher feedback for rapid iteration of the product design.

·         Focus on the way the functionality is displayed and the fine detail of how users interact with the interface.

·         Produce the visual comps and functioning front-end code.

 

Technical Skills:

·         Working knowledge of web application design using HTML, DHTML, CSS, Software application design experience

·         Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Omnigraffle, Flash, etc.

·         Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface directly with customers.

·         Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and work under pressure.

·         Production skills to be able to produce visual designs in Photoshop and then turn them in to HTML code that deals with the wonders of browser compatibilities

·         In-depth understanding of browser rendering engines behavior to implement a design for the web that renders correctly
