Title: Sr. Storage Engineer
Duration: 6+ months
Location: Reston VA
Job Description:
Analyze the current storage and backup configurations in detail including OS, SAN and back end storage arrays & tape infrastructure.
Design and solution a large and complex backup & recovery environment (currently TSM) including leveraging the emerging backup & recovery technologies for faster service times and additional optimization.
Provide solution to meet migration requirements for a large pool of legacy LTO-2 tape infrastructure leveraging new technologies for greater consolidation and optimization.
Provision/Administer TSM backup & recovery environment.
Provision/Administer storage on EMC, NetApp technologies including VMAX, VNX, VPLEX and FAS series HW.
8-10 years professional experience in information technology.
- Experience in championing change and effectively managing project/program implementation.
- Advanced skill in communications.
- Strong infrastructure engineering skills in data center storage and networking technologies.
- BS degree in Computer Science or in a related field, Masters degree preferred
