Job Title: DataStage Developer
Location: Newark, DE
Duration: 6-9 month contract
Start : ASAP
Rate: $40/hr on C2C
Role Description:
Design, develop, and configure software systems to meet market and/or client requirements either end-to-end from analysis, design, implementation, quality assurance (including testing), to delivery and maintenance of the software product or system or for a specific phase of the lifecycle. Apply knowledge of technologies, applications, methodologies, processes and tools to support a client, project or entity.
Detailed Description/Role Requirements:
5+ years of overall IT experience with at least 3+ years of hands-on ETL experience using Datastage.
Knowledge of RDBMS, SQL and Unix Environment.
Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing Concepts –
Design/Develop/Test ETL jobs based on business requirements –
Design and Document ETL Specs, File Layouts –
Strong expertise in creating BAT scripts and Auto Sys Jobs –
Familiar with DBA tasks such as creation of tables, indexes, etc., -
Familiar with SDLC life cycle methodology; -
Support production team by performing activities like troubleshooting, fixing, and maintaining ETL jobs –
Assist DBA in Performance tuning activities and Business Analysts to gather technical requirements –
Familiar with Sharepoint/ Clear Case/version controlling tool
