Must Haves:
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide IT project management to deliver solutions to improve the tool design efficiency, software and systems environments on-time and on-budget.
Engagement of a global team of technology specialists who oversee segments of the design-tool-manufacture process.
Gathering of requirements, creating and managing prototypes, gathering feedback and architecting solutions for a complete model centric enterprise are the major tasks of this position.
Strategic input is expected in questions on how to use the CAD systems for tool and technology platforms and how to represent that design information in a value added way to the manufacturing organizations but also to our tooling and manufacturing vendors to generate maximum value throughout the digital pipeline.
Develops and documents tool design processes in the frame of the MBD project.
Define modeling standards that ensure the consistent use of the structured 3D information in downstream areas and defines quality checks that allow us to manage these standards.
Develop strategies on how to make the tool design information available to the downstream processes through mechanisms such as 3D PDF, Creo View, JT.
Develop a hub and spoke model that puts the 3D model into the center and relates associated information by using a PDM system. Ensures that the linked information is provided and represented into the downstream processes through mechanisms like 3D PDF or others.
Frequent reporting to IT and BU management on this highly visible project
Competencies & Experience Required/Desired:
Minimum 5 years of IT business process, systems analysis, and project management experience required.
Excellent project management skills and experience with demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in this technical area and across geographical boundaries
Demonstrated leadership skills in directing all phases of a project from budgeting, requirements gathering and quoting to staffing, quality management and on-time delivery
Solid understanding of the tool design process (from concepts to tool manufacturing).
Strong CAD background on Creo (Pro/E) with profound knowledge on modeling approaches.
Knowledge of Parametric and Direct modeling approaches as well as QA checkers.
Know-how of 3D PDF structures and how to translate Creo files into 3D PDF by retaining the PMI in the 3D model.
Excellent organization and communication skills with demonstrated business savvy to interact with management, users, contract resources, vendors, and other IT teams
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Project
8 or more years of domain knowledge on Design/Tooling Engineering, CAD/CAE and/or PLM systems
Experience working in a global organization a plus. Must be able to travel worldwide and will flex daily work schedule to allow for time-zone differences for global team communications
Educational Required/Desired:
Bachelor of Science / Art in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related degree or equivalent experience. MBA or Master's in related area is a plus.
