Job Description-
Responsible for technical design documentation, development, unit testing and maintenance of internally developed applications.
Partner with System Analyst and other IT staff to ensure that designs satisfy business and technical requirements.
Consult with analyst and technical staff to resolve business/technical issues and needs
Write detailed technical specifications for subsystems and identify integration points
Develop code for maintaining and/or enhancing the financial applications
Perform unit testing and debugging and set test conditions based on code specifications.
Support application throughout the Systems Development Life Cycle
Research production issues and provide documented analysis and sizing required to fix the issue
Provide support for financial jobs and related project work in the unit and integrated testing environments
Provide support for the financial jobs in the production environment based on a designated on-call rotation schedule.

Job Requirements-
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
3+ years of demonstrated programming experience in Oracle PL/SQL
Strong knowledge in writing Oracle stored procedures, packages and functions
3+ years of demonstrated programming experience in Pro*C
3+ years of work experience in an application development role
Understanding of coding design and documentation protocol as well as unit testing, change management and release procedures
Demonstrated experience using versioning tools such as Subversion or Clear Case is a plus
Demonstrated experience programming using Unix Shell Scripting
Must be able to work well in a fast-paced, professional team environment
Experience in claims systems processing is a plus
