Job Description:
Skill and Role Summary:
The Senior Jasper Reports Developer designs and implements a complex reports, module, frameworks or applications as per functional and non-functional requirements. He will be responsible
for working with client development team.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Designs and codes medium to high complexity reports leveraging latest Jasper reporting. Good experience with Sybase database, SQL and stored procedures.
Follows TDD for development and writes units tests leveraging frameworks
Drives the performance tuning, re-design and re-factoring for a module
Describes OO principles, designing to interfaces, high-cohesion, low-coupling and GoF design patterns, and designs/codes using these
Demonstrates ability to write complex SQL queries.
Debugs problems and issues in code
Reports accurate status for their work and of his/her group
Identifies & escalates issues that might delay the work and propose suitable alternatives
Interacts with a client (client senior developers and architects) to create technology specifications from business requirements
Estimates the implementation and deployment of the module based on module design and how the module fits into the overall project architecture and plan
Coaches junior developers and developers
Requirements:
Aspects covered in responsibilities and duties
5+ yrs of reports development experience with 2+ years with latest Jasper Reports framework.
2+ yrs experience with Capital Markets with understanding of back office data and reports
