Job Title: SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Developer
Location: West Des Moines, Iowa
Duration: 6+month contract
Job Description:
Working from requirements and design specifications, this contractor's primarily responsibility will be coding new and changing existing SQL Server Integration Services packages (SSIS). These
packages perform and support various interfaces for both legacy and new applications. Technical environment is primarily Microsoft with an IBM mainframe job scheduler. This project will
involve a large amount of interface work that requires ETL integrations to support the various interfaces to both internal and external systems.
Responsibilities:
Follow development & testing procedures from direction & designs of analyst(s)
Coding, testing, implementing SSIS packages.
Creating new SQL server tables/marts and modifying existing ones
Creating interface files by transforming data from the new database for consumption to downstream mainframe applications
Implementing & scheduling new batch jobs
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years experience with SQL Business Intelligence Development Studio Environment
ETL experience using SQL Server Integration Services
Transact-SQL and SQL database skills using Microsoft SQL Management Studio
Working knowledge of VB or C#
Previous Data Warehouse ETL and BI experience
Experience with any combination of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Sharepoint, FTP, Infogix balancing and ESP scheduler a plus
Other Requirements:
Willing to work in a team environment following company Software Development Life Cycle standards
Understanding of dimensional and relational database models
Property Casualty Insurance knowledge is a plus
Able to work on site during regular business hours
