Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Columbus, OH

The business analyst (BA) at DODD will provide program technical assistance to state and contracted information technology professionals during one, multiple or all phases of an assigned project. BA’s provide information to assist during the inception (i.e., development of the scope and outline of the general requirements) of a project, and/or review the design documents. DODD is an AGILE shop as part of the BA activity, BA’s will be asked to develop and refine user stories. DODD BA's may also work with the QA team to support QA processes as necessary. DODD BA’s should be conversant with the Microsoft Visual Studio Platform. Specifically, VSTS 2010/2012 in order support program and project management staff with the story lifecycle management with may include; Adding user requirements to stories; adding artifacts obtained from the business to stories, developing supporting artifacts based on interviews with the technical and business team, writing acceptance criteria, assisting with the development of acceptance criteria and assisting with the migration of user stories from committed to ready for test processes. Additionally, BA’s may support the quality assurance team in the testing process. This would likely be in the role of liaison with the QA, technical and business teams in the validation of stories to ensure deliverables and requirements are met. DODD BA’s may also utilize CRM tools to configure applications as assigned.
DODD BA’s 2’s (CAI) should possess the following:

3 years Exp w/MS Visual Studio 2010/2012 in support of program and project management staff with story lifecycle management including; Adding user requirements to stories; adding artifacts obtained from the business to stories, developing supporting artifacts based on interviews with the technical and business team, writing acceptance criteria, assisting with the development of acceptance criteria and assisting with the migration of user stories from committed to ready for test processes.
5 years Demonstrated ability to develop artifacts using tools such as MS Powerpoint; and MS Excel and MS word
5 years experience functioning as a BA on a large-scale enterprise level application
5 years Good communication skills
5 years Ability to interact with a diverse group composed of line of business and technical staff

The Business Analyst is responsible for the set of tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of an organization, and to recommendsolutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
